Foundry Dedicated Servers

Foundry is going to be re-added to the arsenal of available Onyx integrations with the added capability of selecting which Foundry version the Quest is initially deployed with. As of right now, our poor Foundry users have had to ping me for server restarts and software version upgrades. We want to wrap everything up so that you have greater control over your Foundry installation, as well as the ability to select a version to start with for compatibility with game system versions. We also want you to be able to install updates to the base software via the UI as the application is intended to function.

Once we’ve got the Foundry integration finished, we’re going to be looking at developing a module. We probably won’t finish it this year, may not even start it in earnest, but we want to be able to say that it’s on the roadmap. I have a few options ready to be scoped out, but the most likely candidate is Wook-Toof. It imports data from Wookiepedia and moves it to Foundry, allowing a DM to have everything they need to know at their fingertips to “Star Wars-ize” a tabletop game. It’s currently designed to work with Scum and Villainy, but we’re going to look at making it, at least in part, game system agnostic – so if you stumble into a new sci-fi tabletop game like… I donno… Lancer… you like you can still make use of the module. No promises there.
The module is going to be open-source, and available for free via Foundry’s public module listing, published by RoboJanus.
